When planning a virtual conference, bringing attendees into your world matters. Our featured client worked hard to set the tone of their annual summit right from the start with a sleek welcome video that took event goers inside the company’s physical space for a meet-and-greet with top-level executives.
Their pandemic pivot from in-person to virtual also included a cooking segment that highlighted colleague camaraderie — and underscored their “quality in, quality out” ethos.

Who: Kong, a technology company based in San Francisco.
What: 2020 Kong Summit, which morphed to virtual when the pandemic hit. Kong broadcast the summit to users all over the world from their Bay Area HQ.
Project: With virtual event fatigue setting in by the time of Kong’s summit, the company wanted to kick off their event with something unusual and energizing — then continue to weave high-quality presentations throughout the event.
What we did and how we did it: Seamless ran the audio visual side of the summit and produced video content, which included the summit’s welcome video, shot on location at Kong’s expansive headquarters. After editing it, we streamed the final cut during the conference.
Watch the Kong Summit 2020 welcome video to see:
- tracking shots (following presenters as they walk)
- sound syncing to actions in the video
- both visual and graphic effects: lower thirds, titles, basic graphic animation
Outcome: Attendee feedback was so positive, they chose to go virtual again!
At Seamless Events, we love helping event planners “know what they don’t know” so they can evaluate the type of event that’s best for their audience: hybrid, virtual, or socially distanced in-person meetings.
